Giving students the
confidence to create.
My name is Michael Kaliski - a husband, educator, designer and student.

I'm in my sixth year of teaching - before joining Illinois Central College, I taught
Digital Media at Pekin Community High School for three years. Prior to teaching,
I worked as a graphic designer professionally. I hold two Associate Degrees from
Elgin Community College; one in Computerized Graphic Design and the other in
General Studies. I went on to attend Northern Illinois University, where I received
my BFA in Visual Communication - and also where I met my now wife, Morgan.
Currently, I am pursuing my MFA in Design Thinking from Radford University.
I hope this site is able to represent my ability to teach in the classroom and the
care that I have for a more successful Illinois Central College and its students.
